The NBCS Pacific Chapter is pleased to announce a webinar will be held on Monday, 26 February 2024 (2:00 PM EST) featuring Jill Estrada of the Great Lakes Commission. The title of Jill’s talk will be “The Brandenburg Park Shoreline Restoration Project: An innovative solution to a failing seawall”.
Jill Estrada is the Project Manager for the Coastal Conservation and Habitat Restoration program at the Great Lakes Commission. In her role, she works with local partners to implement various habitat restoration projects in Areas of Concern (AOCs) and non-AOC priority coastal areas throughout the Great Lakes basin. Her talk will highlight the recent completion of a successful shoreline restoration project at Brandenburg Park in Chesterfield Township, Michigan. This project utilized nature-based restoration methods to replace a failing seawall.
